A Nostalgic Throwback. My goal for this project was to design a skin that triggers nostalgia through the use of photorealistic textures, colors, and depth. While a skin will never live up to the real thing, you can almost feel the buttons under your fingertips and even imagine how they sound when pressed. The pixel-accurate DMG Display (optional) is meant to simulate light being pushed through a retro pixel grid, removing some of the inherent "emulated" feel. I really wanted a good way to play through Shiren the Wanderer for the NDS on mobile, so I tried to make it happen. This is my first skin. Assets aren't really mine - I used a screenshot of the Android Shiren the Wanderer 5 game for the buttons, and took some online icons for arrows and rotation. I started from an existing skin template, and the menu/start and select buttons are likely from it as well. Hope it's useful to someone.
